Children and their families receive services from specially trained child abuse professionals. Our multidisciplinary team (MDT) facilitates a comprehensive, well defined, cooperative process that not only results in a more successful investigation and prosecution, but more importantly, provides a better and less traumatic response to the child and their family members.
The child and its family are at the forefront of the MDT response, and the primary goals of the MDT include:
Elimination of duplicative efforts by professionals
Protection of the child and the child's family from further abuse and trauma
Responsive, successful investigation and prosecution of alleged offenders
Assurance of specialized trauma focused counseling
