Our coordinated team response includes access to trauma assessment and specialized trauma focused mental health services for child victims and their non-offending family members. Specialized individual, family, and group mental health services are available as part of the team response either onsite or through coordination with other trauma focused treatment providers in the community.
Children who have experienced abuse/trauma may be referred to therapy with one of our mental health specialists. Without intervention, many child victims will suffer ongoing or long term consequences that could impact them throughout their lives. Therapy is a unique opportunity for a child to meet with a trained professional who can help him or her process the trauma, develop healthy boundaries, and build effective coping skills. Our specialists use evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment that has been proven to be effective in coping with trauma.
