Specialized pediatric medical evaluation and treatment services are available to all CACWC clients and are coordinated with the multidisciplinary team.
Located at Dayton Children's Hospital, as well as offsite locations including the CACWC, the Division of Child Advocacy provides medical examinations and follow-up care for cases of suspected or alleged child maltreatment. Children benefit from the expertise of specialized child abuse medical providers and social workers within a personalized, child-centered environment.
Children being evaluated by the Division of Child Advocacy will be seen by a Dayton Children's provider who specializes and provides expert care to suspected child and adolescent victims of abuse. This care may include:
Outpatient and inpatient medical evaluations for possible sexual abuse, physical abuse, or neglect
Psychosocial Assessments
Imaging studies and lab testing, and treatment as indicated
Follow-up care and referrals as indicated
